Visa Application

For travelling to Russia from abroad it is necessary to apply for a visa. The visa is provided by the Russian Consulates after the presentation of an invitation letter.

There are two kinds of invitation letters:

-Invitation letter for a Business Visa
-Invitation letter for a Tourist Visa in connection with a confirmed hotel reservation

For you as a delegate of an official event we recommend you to apply for a Business Visa. One advantage of a Business Visa is that the visa can be extended.

Generally, a visa application is only possible in combination with a booking for a flight and hotel accomodation in Moscow. The acceptance of your visa will rougly need 4 to six weeks. Another possibility is the application for an Express Visa. As these are comparatively expensive, we recommend to apply for an Express Visa just in case it is absolutely necessary.
