Programme 2008

Key note: Technological Developments/ Prof. Fred. E. Schubert

As key note speaker INTERLIGHT MOSCOW could win Prof. Fred E. Schubert from the renowned Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York. He has made pioneering contributions to the field of compound semiconductors in particular to alloy broadening, delta-doping, resonant-cavity light-emitting diodes, enhanced spontaneous emission in Er-doped Si/SiO2 microcavities, omni-directional reflectors for LEDs, and perfect anti-reflection coatings. His latest book has been translated into Russian.

Key note: Applications and investments/ Yefim Rosenberg

Great attention was paid to the presentation of Yefim Rosenberg from OAO "NIIAS". He presented the LED investment programme of the state company Russian Railways Corporation in the period 2009 - 2011. Russian Railways Corporation aims to increase the energy efficiency of all railway facilities by introducing LED technologies. Naturally, the interest in his talk was quite impressive.
